Brothers a lot as happened since the last sprigs came out. Grand Lodge and the Spring BBQ doesn't sound like much, but it was. First, let me start with the Grand Lodge; we have several new Grand Lodge offices: Most Worshipful Bro. Barry Rickman is the new Grand Master. We had to vote on three fine gentlemen for Junior Grand Warden and rhe rest of the officers moved up. We also have a new District Deputy Grand Master and he is Right Worshipful Brother Gary Herndon from Horse Creek Lodge. I would like to say on behalf of the Lodge that we are honored to have these fine brothers representing Masonry in South Carolina. I would also like to say on behalf of the Lodge thank you for your service to the new Past Grand Master, Gerald Carver. Good luck to you on your future endeavors.
On the BBQ: we had a very good BBQ; the meat was cooked to perfection. I think WB Preston King was counting the drips from the meat. Whatever the pt crew did, it worked. The hash was just like it always is, GREAT! I would like to say thank you to all the brothers that came out to support the lodge. To the brothers that could not make it WE MISSED YOU! If you have not been to a BBQ for awhile we would love for you to come out and join us, even if you cannot perform very much physcal activity, if we can't find a job for you to do maybe you can teach some of the younger guys a thing or two.
Finally, we have some work coming up. PLEASE, come out and support your Senior Warden, John Bridwell on 5/29, he will be conderring the FCº and on 5/27 our Junior Warden will be conferring an EAº. These brothers have worked hard to put these degrees on, so let's give them the support they deserve.
Fraternally yours,
Christopher Niles Lewis, WM.
