From the Secretary

As a reminder, 2010 dues, of $65 were due December 21, 2009.

57 brothers of the 115 dues paying members have already sent their dues in. Thank you brothers for your alacrity.

Acacia Lodge BBQ April 17, 2010

Acacia Lodge will hold it's semi-annual BBQ on Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 11:00 am through 4:00pm.

There will be dine-in and take out. Ticket prices are $8.00 in advance or $10.00 at the door. Children's tickets are $6.00 (dining room only).

Tickets can be purchased in advance at Pink Dipper, North Augusta Tire and Auto, or Estate Jewelry; all in Downtown North Augusta.

July's Regular Communication will be July 10

Because the next Regular Communication will fall on July 3, just before Independence Day, the brethren have elected to postpone the Regular Communication for July until Friday, July 10. Dinner and the meeting will occur at their regular times. The Grand Lodge has granted the special dispensation needed to move the meeting to a different date.

Greetings From the East

Brothers a lot as happened since the last sprigs came out. Grand Lodge and the Spring BBQ doesn't sound like much, but it was. First, let me start with the Grand Lodge; we have several new Grand Lodge offices: Most Worshipful Bro. Barry Rickman is the new Grand Master. We had to vote on three fine gentlemen for Junior Grand Warden and rhe rest of the officers moved up. We also have a new District Deputy Grand Master and he is Right Worshipful Brother Gary Herndon from Horse Creek Lodge.

The Spring BBQ was a success!

As chairman of the BBQ I want to thank everyone who gave of their time. Everything ran smooth and the 75º day made for a great day. I also want to thank those that served on the BBQ committee: W. Bros. Steve, Joel, Preston, and David. We had good help inside, out in the pit, and in the take-out. It was one of the best BBQ's to date as far as money goes and the food was top-notch. Thanks again.

First, let me say that I am humbled by the honor to serve this great Lodge and the fine members. With that being said, I would like to congratulate and welcome our new honorary members: Brother Calvin Coogler, W. Bros. Smokey Brooks, and Rusty Hawks, and R. W. Bro. Ron Parker. These brothers have served our lodge and masonry in countless ways. This is our way of saying thank you! Brothers, I am very excited about this year, we have some work coming up and we need your support... please come out and support YOUR LODGE. We had 37 brothers during the February meeting and it was great to see.
